There definately needs to be a change. You know what ends up happening with one of my fellow Demonologist Locks on bosses?
He parks Succubus somewhere safe and out of the fight, while still getting the MD and DK buffs. He tops out around 700-900 DPS easily, imagine what he could push if Felguard was simply more durable like a BM pet.
I have never thought the top-end pets scaled well. Infernal and doomguard are only used in cases of extreme boredom, felguard is good for trash but horribad on bosses...the only boss its good for is Prince in Kara.
I read a while back that Blizz had recognized that they have very few pet friendly bosses, and that they were taking a look at that too, so that could be part of the solution too.
